What exactly is a Mood Tracking?

Pause for a moment. Close your eyes and listen inside. In a hectic everyday life we often don't take the time to listen to ourselves for a short moment and find out how we feel. Mood tracking combines mindfulness and deceleration. Every single day you take some minutes for yourself and track in your journal how you felt that day. Were you happy, stressed, balanced? You can individually track your different moods and thus get an overview of your mood development.

Why should I track my mood?

Mood tracking is not about simply saving anything. You could do the same with a note app. It's about the 5 minutes you take time for yourself every evening. In which you let the day pass by you again and evaluate it. Was it a good day? Were you annoyed about something? You can then record this mood in your tracker using a colored smiley. After at least 7 days of tracking, you can get an overview of how you really felt.

The 7 days is filled in and now?

At the end of at least 7 days you can see at a glance how you were doing. And now? That is entirely up to you. You were very stressed in the last days? Then try to create more space for yourself in your planning for the coming days. Plan time for a walk, for sports or simply for an extensive pampering program with a bath. You were happy all those days? That's great! Save these memories for yourself. You've been very angry the last few days, but you don't really want that? Then get to the bottom of your mood a little more on those angry days and ask yourself why you feel that way. Maybe in some situations it helps you to become a bit more relaxed.

I am happy every day. Should I then even run a Mood Tracking?

Even if you jump out of bed beaming every day, have half-full glasses everywhere and the sun is always shining, you can still run a mood tracking. The principle of mindfulness is also then applied. At the end of each day, if you remember how beautiful the day actually was, you can practice gratitude and be strengthened in case a less beautiful day comes along.

How often can I capture my mood?

Your mood should be as authentic as possible. In the course of the day this changes from time to time. You should think about a fixed time to record your mood. In our experience, this makes most sense in the afternoon. In the morning you don't know what the day feels like and in the evening you often tend to see only the best or worst of the day.

Can I change my captured mood afterwards?

When will there be a first evaluation?

A trend only emerges after a few days. Only if you have kept your mood for at least 5 days within the last 7 days we can show you a meaningful trend.

Can I view tracking older than 7 days?

The aim of this app is to visualize the current status. It's not about a historical review, but about recognizing a current trend to create awareness for you. It does not help you much if you know that you had a good day three weeks ago. Look at now - at the last 7 days and become aware of where you are NOW.

What kind of evolution will there be?

The trend diagram shows you how your course during the past 7 days was and the distribution diagrams gives you a feeling about the allocation of your tacked mood.

What does the app cost?

The app contains no advertising and is 💯% free to use. However, developing an app is complex. 🤯 Especially without coffee ☕. If you like the app and it helps, then you can buy us a coffee.

Where is my data stored?

Your data will be stored only locally on your device. You do NOT have to log in and your data is NOT stored in the cloud.

What rights do the app require?

No special permissions are currently required by the app.

The following authorizations are planned for a future version:

  • volume_down Sound to inform you of the successful saving of a mood.
  • notifications Notifications to remind you to capture your mood.
